Try pouring a cup of bleach directly into the drain, but make sure to rinse any bleach off of metallic finishes. Allow the bleach at least 30 minutes to do it’s thing. It may take a couple of applications to do the job. This is just one of the many drain tips we offer up at Mitch Clemmons Plumbing serving Fullerton, Brea, and LaHabra.
In your kitchen drains we recommend not putting any food or grease into your drain. It’s best to put those things into a trash can. But if you still intend to put things into your garbage disposal you should definitely stay away from these items: grease, coffee grounds, potato peels, rice, and citrus fruit skins.
